Subdermal-thread lifting is also known as an Aptos lift or the Feather lift, which uses non-absorbable suture thread to rejuvenate the face by removing sagging tissue.
The Subdermal-Thread Lifting procedure works best to tighten skin of the neck, cheeks, jowls and brows. By attaching these threads to the skin, our surgeons pull the skin back and gently tighten the area to achieve the desired result. Scar tissue forms over a three to four month period after this procedure.
This lifting procedure typically works best on patients whose skin has just begun to sag. They may choose to have a subdermal-thread lifting to avoid having more invasive surgery at a later date.
