Skin Cancer Prevention
Skin cancer is a condition that can affect anyone at any age.
Males who are over the age of 40 have an increased risk of developing skin cancer. They spend a lot of time outside, which means that they are being exposed to a lot of ultraviolet rays. Melanoma is the least common form of skin cancer, but it also causes more deaths than any other types. Limiting sun exposure and wearing sunscreen are some of the best things a person can do to protect themselves from developing skin cancer. Tanning salons should also be avoided.
Check your skin regularly for strange looking moles or changes to your skin. Concerned about something you’ve found and think it might be skin cancer? Call one of our Los Angeles Dermatologist immediately to request a consultation, or schedule online now.
