The 3-step procedure involves removal of the upper layer of skin and stimulation of the underlying cells that results in smooth, clean skin for the patient.
The first step is removal of the epidermis, called dermaplaning. Next, depending on the skin type, a mild acid is applied to the skin and left for up to 4 minutes. Lastly, the anit-inflamatory agent, carbon dioxide, is used as a form of cryogenic therapy. Simultaneously, the therapy also removes oil, blackheads and sun damaged cells.
Results are immediate, creating the appearance of smaller pores and lustrous skin. The patient need not wait to apply cosmetics.
