benefits
Microneedling is mostly used on the face and helps improve the appearance of:
- Scarring & acne scarring
- Fine lines & wrinkles
- Brown spots & hyperpigmentation
- Rough skin texture
- Enlarged pores
- Stretch marks
Microneedling requires minimal downtime compared to our other procedures.
how does it work?
Your provider will then begin to use the dermaroller which will cause micro punctures to the skin using small needles to prick the skin, as the skin begins to heal itself, you will begin to generate new collagen and skin tissue. Redness, flaking and peeling are expected over the next week.
how many treatments are needed?
Results are usually visible after one treatment, but for optimal improvement, we suggest a series of treatments. Maintenance treatments are excellent for upkeeping results.
what areas can be treated?
- Face
- Body
does it hurt?
Our providers will apply a topical anesthetic until fully numb to minimize any discomfort, most patients handle this procedure very well.
are there side effects?
You will experience mild redness and light peeling/flaking for several days after treatment.
downtime
Most patients resume normal daily activities immediately after their treatment. We recommend avoiding strenuous activities the evening after the procedure, but you will have no additional restrictions on physical activity after that. Strict sun avoidance is mandatory, and we recommend avoiding tanning of the skin for at least one month after.
