We use the Fraxel (Fractional Resurfacing) Laser as non-invasive laser to provide a wide array of treatment options to address many forms of aging and pigmentation, customized to your individual needs and concerns, and typically with minimal recovery time.

Fraxel Dual

Fraxel Dual is a great treatment for moderate sun damage, fine lines and texture irregularities of the skin. The Fraxel treatment promotes remodeling of the skin and stimulates the production of new skin cells. The result is skin that appears smoother and healthier. Fraxel Dual therapy uses microscopic laser columns to penetrate and remodel the skin. Since the laser treats fractions of the skin, it leaves zones of untreated tissue intact, promoting faster healing than traditional fully ablative resurfacing lasers.

Fraxel Lite

Fraxel Lite is similar to the Fraxel Dual, but uses less energy and allows for a faster recovery. It is perfect for skin showing early signs of sun damage and fine lines and for maintenance treatments between more aggressive therapies.

The Fraxel Lite treatment still uses Fraxel technology to create microscopic laser columns to treat the skin surface. Since the energy of the treatment is lower, the skin heals faster. Fraxel Lite allows for very little downtime that usually consists of light redness of the skin which typically resolves over 24-72 hours.

What to expect during your Fraxel treatment

Fraxel Dual and Fraxel Lite Laser procedures typically take less than an hour to perform. We use topical anesthetic on the skin before the procedure. Results are usually visible after one treatment, but we typically recommend a series to optimize the improvement.

What to expect after your Fraxel treatment

After a Fraxel Dual and Fraxel Lite Laser procedure, patients typically have redness that usually persists for 1-3 days. More aggressive treatments result in longer duration of redness. The redness fades and is replaced by light brown dots that flake off over several days. Most patients resume normal daily activities immediately after treatment. We recommend that you avoid strenuous activities the evening after the procedure, but you will have no additional restrictions on physical activity after that. Strict sun avoidance is mandatory, and we recommend avoiding tanning of the skin for at least one month after any laser procedure, including Fraxel.

The results of Fraxel Laser are both immediate and progressive. Soon after the treatment, the surface of your skin will feel softer, look brighter, and show a more even tone. The next 3 to 6 months will bring more improvement as the deeper layers of the skin continue to heal.
