This information provides general aftercare guidelines. If your provider has given you specific instructions, please follow those recommendations. If you are unsure or have any questions about your aftercare, please contact our office for further guidance.

What to expect:

• Warm sensation 2-3 hours after treatment, similar to a sunburn.
• Redness, mild swelling, darkening of skin and small brown dots.
• Dryness, peeling and flaking 5-7 days after treatment.
• For areas other than the face, it may take up to 2 weeks.

What to avoid:

• Sun exposure at least 4 weeks after the procedure.
• Scrubs or exfoliants 1 week post treatment.
• Harsh skincare products, such as exfoliants or retinoids, for a few days.

Aftercare:

• Wash treated area twice daily with gentle cleanser.
• Moisturize treated area twice daily.
• Apply sunscreen every 2-4 hours on treated area.
