Liquid Nitrogen
This information provides general aftercare guidelines. If your provider has given you specific instructions, please follow those recommendations. If you are unsure or have any questions about your aftercare, please contact our office for further guidance.
What to expect:
- Slight swelling, similar to a hive.
- Blisters may develop. Do not disturb the blister, your body will absorb the fluid.
- In 24-48 hours, a superficial crust will develop, do not attempt to remove. The crust will separate and fall off spontaneously, it takes approximately:
- 5 – 7 days for the face.
- 14 days for hands and arms.
- 14-21 days for areas on the torso and lower extremities.
If there is any redness, swelling, tenderness or pus appearing 24 hours after treatment, please contact our office. AFTERCARE:
- Apply Aquaphor or Vaseline throughout the day.
- Repeat daily until site is completely healed.
